It makes me mad just walking through it. I like to get my books and just leave- it feels so cold and uninviting in there- like a 1960s clinic waiting room. The library they knocked down to build this one was vastly superior.

U2 At The Rose Bowl

Last night’s U2 concert in Pasadena was a spectacle; the stage dwarfs the ant-like band. The set list weighted heavily on the “No Line On The Horizon” album. In my opinion the weakest album the band has ever released. Having said that the live versions of these new songs worked well here. There was lots to see from the moving stage ramps, scissoring LED video displays, and lighting, but I would have liked to seen more of The Edge as I find him more entertaining than Bono.

Bono needed to calm down and just sing- his voice wasn’t there. He couldn’t hit any of the notes in “MLK”. I hated the preaching from the stage even if I agreed with the message.
The Edge played guitar and piano often in the same song. The sounds, textures, and riffs were excellent.
Adam laid down some thick bass grooves.
Larry seemed to loose the beat, but maybe it was the cavernous Rose Bowl that caused the trouble.

The highlight was the ‘Milky Way’ of cell phones during “City Of Blinding Lights.” There were 96,000 stars in the audience and countless thousands watching the concert on YouTube.com

Alex was signed four years ago as the number one draft choice in the NFL. In July 2005, Smith agreed to a six-year, $49.5 million contract with the 49ers. Smith is now the backup quarterback. All his excess value has been drain by four years leading one of the worst teams of the NFL.

The good news is we know he can take the punishment. We also know he’s gotten the play time that a lot of other young NFL quarterbacks haven’t got.

I believe Quarterbacks more than any other position get over valued by their performance in the NCAA and undervalued by their performance in the NFL.

If the head office used this strategy I believe they could find a number of undervalued/ high performance players. From what I’ve been told, the New England Patriots current coach, Bill Belichick, uses a similar strategy to find quality players.

The best source of undervalued players are on teams with poor records, where the player’s talents may remain hidden.

How to add an interactive sidebar to your Facebook Page

How to add an interactive sidebar to your Facebook Page:
Video tutorial on adding HTML content to a fixed box on the Facebook sidebar.

"Faber-Castell Polychromos. The guys operating these systems grew up playing video games. They developed skills in operating systems (video games) very similar to the CROWS controls. This was important, because viewing the world around the vehicle via a vidcam is not as enlightening (although a lot safer) than having your head and chest exposed to the elements (and any firepower the enemy sends your way). But experienced video gamers are skilled at whipping that screen view around, and picking up any signs of danger. Many Iraqis and Afghans, especially the bad guys, get distressed while watching a CROWS turret being exercised by some video game addict inside the vehicle. That’s because the most noticeable part of CROWS, as it swivels and “looks” around, is the machine-gun. Many Iraqis don’t even recognize the vidcam and other sensors. They think the machine-gun is, well, sort of R2D2 with a bad attitude and a license to kill.”

- Eatting CROWS

Japan Plans $21 Billion Solar Space Post

Japan Plans $21 Billion Solar Space Post:
There is an almost infinite amount of power up in space. All we have to do is go get it. The only thing stopping us from tapping this cheap source of clean energy is the initial costs. When Rock becomes political the political lyrics become emotional in nature. A liberal philosophy is heartfelt but a conservative or libertarian philosophy is more thoughtful. I took out the assembly and blew compressed air to clean out the dust. I tried to oil the bearing but couldn’t get at them without a lot of work. When I put it back it seemed to work a lot better. Faster and quieter. Problem solved for now.
